Job summary

The Tradition Senior Living - Houston Buffalo Speedway community is seeking a Part-time Line Cook for evenings and weekends. You will prepare meals with high-quality presentation under the supervision of the Executive Chef in a luxury senior living setting, ensuring timely service and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities include following approved recipes, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, managing inventories, and supporting a seamless Food & Beverage operation.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience cooking in a restaurant setting.
• Possesses strong culinary skills.
• Knowledge of restaurant style service as related to meal preparation and service and timing.
• Ability read and follow recipes.
• Possesses sound organizational and time management skills.
• Possesses good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Being able to cook quality food.
• Be able to style, quality and timeliness of meal service.
• Make sure to keep the kitchen and service areas clean.
• Meal presentation (appealing plate, entrée availability and timeliness of preparation).
• Guest relations, (resident/guest interaction, and communication).
• Keep food production records, temperature logs, cleaning schedules.
