Job summary

Tarrant County College is seeking a part-time Specialist, Library at the Trinity River Campus. You will provide circulation services, assist students, faculty, and staff with resources, and support efficient library operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with 1 year of related experience; evenings and Saturdays are required. This position is not remote and offers a monthly pay schedule starting at $18.22 per hour, with a maximum of 19.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1 year of related experience; education can substitute for experience if relevant.
• Preferred: Associate's degree or 60 college hours completed; library experience in public, school, or academic settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide circulation services and assist patrons with library resources.
• Manage circulation records, organize materials, and handle check-in/check-out.
• Answer questions and refer complex queries to a librarian when needed.
• Operate and learn library systems; maintain reports on library operations.
• Assist with reserve items and locate databases/electronic resources for users.
• Support customer service and address student, staff, and faculty needs.
