University Libraries-0905 in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Library Services Assistant to cover weekend and evening service points in the Love Library Complex, Adele Hall Learning Commons, and Dinsdale Learning Commons. The role includes supervising student workers and managing building-related tasks, including safety and closing procedures.

The position requires a high school diploma with customer service experience and strong interpersonal and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus two years’ relevant work experience to include customer service experience.
• Additional years of relevant experience or completed relevant education may substitute for required education/experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Effective interpersonal communication/negotiation skills to assist patrons including faculty, staff, students, and community users.
• Advanced computer operating skills.

Responsibilities

• Weekend and Evening service point coverage of Love Library Complex, Adele Hall Learning Commons and Dinsdale Family Learning Commons.
• Supervision of student workers and handling safety, security, closing and emergency protocols.
• Maintain service quality during Sunday-Thursday shifts, 3:30pm-12:30am with a 1-hour lunch break.
