Sam Houston State University’s Newton Gresham Library at The Woodlands Center is seeking a Student Employee - Library Assistant to support library operations in a part-time capacity. The position offers 15–20 hours per week with a starting pay of $8.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include assisting patrons with basic research, packaging and processing books, operating printers and copiers, and performing online services tasks.

Qualifications

• Specialized clerical work applying standard library procedures.
• Assist patrons with basic research and locate library materials.
• Operate printers, copiers, and library equipment; lift/move books.

Responsibilities

• Package and process books for transit to/from the main campus.
• Operate printers and copy equipment.
• Use computer applications in area of responsibility.
• Perform online services activities and general customer service.
