Job summary

Pittsburg State University Library Services seeks an Evening and Weekend Library Aide for a part-time role. The position will primarily cover evening shifts during weekdays and weekends during library hours. Two positions are available at 19 hours per week.

Responsibilities include overseeing the library space, assisting patrons, and supporting reference and customer service duties for students and faculty. Background checks are required and first consideration is July 21, 2026.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office or similar in an office setting.
• One year of work experience in an education environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee library space, processes, and services during evenings and weekends.
• Collaborate with day shift staff to align evening activities with daytime.
• Provide reference and customer service to support student and faculty work.
• Assist with materials, collection, or e-resource projects as assigned.
• Collaborate with colleagues and patrons in a respectful, goal-oriented manner.
