Job summary

Pittsburg State University Library Services is seeking an Evening and Weekend Library Aide. This part-time position will primarily work evening shifts during the week and provide weekend coverage during library business hours. Two positions are available at 19 hours per week.

Required: High school diploma and at least 1 year of office experience; familiarity with Microsoft Office is expected. Preference for an Associate degree is noted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office or similar in an office setting.
• One year of work experience in an education environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee library space and services during evening and weekend hours.
• Collaborate with day shift staff to align evening activity with daytime operations.
• Provide reference and customer service to support student success and scholarly work.
• Contribute to materials, collection, or e‑resource projects as assigned.
• Collaborate with colleagues and customers in a respectful, goal‑oriented manner.
