Job summary

High Point University is seeking a Circulation Desk Student Assistant to provide customer service at the HPU Kahn Law Library. Applicants should be able to assist patrons with inquiries, check materials in and out, and handle library tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills and must be willing to work evening and weekend shifts.

This position is designed for students actively pursuing their education, preferably with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Physical ability to lift and handle library materials is required.

Qualifications

• Grade point average of 3.0 or above is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively is required.
• Strong organizational skills are required.
• Willingness to visit other campus locations is required.
• Ability to sit for extended periods is required.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and push carts weighing up to 200 pounds is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to library patrons.
• Answer basic directional, research, and technical questions.
• Check materials in and out for patrons.
• Perform duties associated with running a library.
