Job summary

YWCA Cass Clay is seeking a Full Time Housing Support Specialist to provide support and advocacy to residents of Grace Garden and LanternLight, ensuring safety and adherence to leasing guidelines. The role requires working 32 hours weekly across Wednesday to Sunday with shifts from 4p-10p and 12p-8p on weekends.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, assisting with basic needs, and connecting residents to community resources.

Qualifications

• Crisis intervention knowledge or training.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Prompt and reliable attendance required.
• Understanding of domestic violence, homelessness, mental illness, and related issues is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and advocacy to residents and uphold lease guidelines.
• Assist with basic needs: food, clothing, and resources; maintain records.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and security of the facility.
• Respond to emergencies or crises professionally and promptly.
• Attend scheduled housing meetings and coordinate with team.
