Job summary

American Social in Tampa is seeking a friendly Host/Hostess to welcome guests, manage the waiting list, and coordinate seating using Open Table. You will greet guests, answer phones, relay requests from large parties, and support servers and bussers to ensure smooth service.

This role requires 18+ with weekend and holiday availability and the ability to work late night shifts up to 3 AM. English fluency and a positive attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to work late night shifts, possibly until 12 AM–3 AM.
• Alcohol awareness certification a plus.
• Food handling certificate a plus.
• Fluent in English; able to speak, read, write.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests as they enter the restaurant.
• Seat guests, maintain the waiting list, and notify waiting guests when seating is available.
• Use seating system (Open Table) to manage guest flow.
• Monitor reservations and communicate updates with managers and guests.
• Coordinate with servers and managers on table availability and large party seating.
