Job summary

YMCA of Greenville is seeking a part-time Building Supervisor to provide on-site support during evenings and weekends. You will act as manager on duty, coordinate facility operations, oversee staff, and ensure safety and member satisfaction across shifts.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, reporting maintenance needs, and responding to emergencies. This role emphasizes service, safety, and strong problem-solving in a community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in customer service.
• Demonstrated leadership and high level of responsibility.
• Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage several tasks.

Responsibilities

• Serves as manager on duty and coordinates facility operations during assigned hours.
• Ensures proper operation of equipment and notifies off-duty personnel for issues beyond repair.
• Monitor building to ensure safety and efficiency during shifts.
• Assist in keeping the facility clean and orderly throughout each shift.
• Supervise all on-duty staff in all departments during shift.
• Report maintenance issues and projects as necessary.
• Lead during incidents, injuries, or emergencies and file incident reports.
• Address staff and member issues to prevent unsafe conditions and document details for management follow-up.
• Document staff or member issues for follow-up with management.
• Conduct facility walk-through and observe/report activity.
• Engage with members to ensure they feel safe and welcome.
• Support departments with member complaints/issues as needed.
• Open/close building as per schedule with opening/closing checklists.
• Adhere to boundaries with consumers and complete abuse risk management training.
• Follow mandated reporting requirements and abuse risk management responsibilities.
