NOVA Workforce is seeking adjunct instructors in the Electrical field to deliver hands-on, lab-based courses and remotely/face-to-face formats as needed. Instructors plan and teach courses, prepare materials, assess students, and maintain records in line with college policies.

Teaching load varies with enrollment; there is no guarantee of continued employment. Experience with boot camp style training and diverse student groups is valued by NOVA Workforce.

Qualifications

• National Electrical Code (NEC) working knowledge and local regulations.
• Blueprints, schematics reading and interpretation.
• OSHA 10/30 safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Hands-on electrical techniques demonstration (wiring, conduit).
• Ability to teach hands-on technical content to diverse learners.
• Troubleshooting electrical/mechanical faults in lab settings.
• Align instructional content with industry standards.
• Familiarity with conductors, transformers, motors, panels and control systems.

Responsabilités

• Provide hands-on, guided instruction to students in courses.
• Prepare course materials and detailed lesson plans.
• Maintain classroom management and a hazard-free environment.
• Post syllabi and communicate via the learning management system.
• Deliver content using diverse teaching styles with practical applications.
• Maintain enrollment and attendance records and submit grades on time.
• Adhere to ethics, policies and college regulations.
• Meet assigned classes regularly and deliver prescribed courses.
