Pathfinder is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Huntington, IN to empower individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities to live more independently. DSPs provide everyday living support and compassionate care across daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma/GED.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Basic language, written, and computer skills necessary for communication and documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to support people with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Daily Living Support: Teach and support essential skills such as personal care, meal preparation, and daily living tasks to promote independence.
• Community Engagement: Facilitate community integration and involvement, helping individuals build meaningful connections.
• Health and Safety: Administer medications, provide first aid, assist with medical appointments, and monitor health conditions.
• Advocacy and Rights: Uphold the rights, autonomy, and choices of individuals.
• Individualized Support Plans: Develop and implement customized support plans aligned with personal goals.
• Documentation and Privacy: Maintain accurate documentation and respect privacy and confidentiality.
• Collaboration and Communication: Build positive relationships with individuals and teams, supporting decision‑making.
• Emergency and Safety Compliance: Respond to emergencies and follow safety standards and procedures.
