Job summary

REM Community Services, part of Sevita, is hiring a caregiver to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a community setting. You’ll help with daily living tasks, personal care, and community participation, while building meaningful relationships with participants.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
Skills include communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time-management.
Vehicle: valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

Assist participants with personal hygiene and support individuals with behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
Help participants be part of the community and participate in activities they enjoy.
Support participants with personal goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
Develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve and communicate with supervisors as needed.
