Job summary

Brooklyn Center Community Schools is seeking a Building Supervisor to support the Community Education Department during facility rentals. The role oversees access, maintains a welcoming and secure environment, and serves as the on-site contact for renters and guests.

Training will be provided for building operations and emergency procedures. The position offers part-time evening and weekend hours with a pay rate of $15/hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or security preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Background check and district training protocols must be completed.

Responsibilities

• Open and secure designated areas of the building before and after rental events.
• Monitor door access points to ensure authorized entry only.
• Maintain visibility and oversight of all rented spaces to ensure appropriate use.
• Enforce safety protocols and report incidents promptly.
