Job summary

Barrett Distribution Centers is seeking a Wave Planner to release work to the floor and track wave progress. The role reports to the Senior Wave Planner/Sr Ops/Operations Manager and works Sunday through Thursday, 4pm–12:30am, in Mississippi.

The compensation is $18.50/hour, plus a $0.75/hour shift differential. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in related work, familiarity with WMS, and strong Excel/Office skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of related experience in warehouse operations, customer service, or inventory control preferred.
• Wave Planning experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of WMS preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• English communication skills; bilingual Spanish/English a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to balance competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, analyzing, modifying and executing the Wave Plan to predetermine ship schedules across customers.
• Prioritize daily schedule and create reports to monitor performance.
• Assist with management of pick tickets and issue to departments.
• Collaborate with Operations teams to release orders to the warehouse floor.
• Communicate with internal/external partners to resolve issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement and safety programs.
