Job summary

The Reserves Network is partnering with a large automated warehouse and distribution center to fill the Wave Planner position in Palmetto, GA. You will coordinate daily distribution workloads to ensure efficient product flow and on-time shipping in both automated and manual environments.

Ideal candidates will have strong proficiency with WMS platforms and MS Office, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–3 years minimum experience in distribution/wave planning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficient in MS Excel.
• Pre-employment Drug Screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with WMS System, MS Office, Island Pacific and SOUP.
• Evaluates workload for the day and by function to balance capacity.
• Receives and processes requests to expedite, modify, or release orders.
• Collaborates with Operations to level workloads between manual and automated environments.

Job Description: The Wave Planner is responsible for coordinating daily distribution workloads to ensure efficient product flow and on-time shipping in both automated and manual warehouse environments. This role works closely with Operations leadership to balance staffing, equipment utilization, order volume, and system parameters whilemaking adjustments toproduction waves as needed. The Wave Planner also partners with Customer Service and Merchandise teams to expedite, modify, release, and resolve order exceptions. Strong proficiency with WMS platforms and Microsoft Office, along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced distribution environment, is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Works closely with WMS System, MS Office, Island Pacific and SOUP.
• Evaluates workload in total for the day, and by function (e.g. specialhandling,of picks, receiving, etc.)to level overall facility and departmental capacity.
• Receives and processes requests from Merchandise Coordinators and Customer Service to expedite, modify or release orders.
• Works with Operations Managers to level workloads between manual and automated environments to satisfy shipping requirements.
• With Production Plan in hand, meets as needed with Operations Staff to review staffing, equipment utilization and system parameter sets and achieve consensus.Makes in-process wave modifications as required.
• When required, releases customer orders and communicates with appropriate Customer Service personnel to resolve order exceptions.
• Levels workloads between Pallet and Case Picking as well as manual picking.
• Works with other Wave Planner and Operation Supervisors to plan and manage both manpower and the physical product toensure continuous flow of goodsand to meet daily distribution requirement in an automated environment.
• Ensures all billings for automated distributions (post and pre).
• The ability to work in a constant state of alertness.
• Willingness to assist fellow associates.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High school diploma required;bachelor’sdegree .
• Solid experience in distribution/wave planning (1 to 3 yrs min) or relevant experience.
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional computer skills (MS Office, Word, Excel)
• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain a friendly, professional attitude in a fast-paced environment.
• Pre-employment Drug Screen and background check
