Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. is seeking a Verifier/Checker for the evening shift (2:30 pm – 11:00 pm) to support warehouse operations. You will verify shipments, inspect items, and ensure accuracy against packing slips and P.O. numbers.

Responsibilities include labeling, scanning, handling inter-warehouse transfers, operating pallet jacks and forklifts, and putting away inventory. Overtime and safety compliance are required as part of this role.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid state driver’s license may be required.
• Overtime willingness to meet customer needs.
• Internal certification to operate powered equipment within specified time.

Responsibilities

• Verify products and match packing slips to P.O. using item/vendor numbers, descriptions, and quantity through visual inspections, counting, references.
• Inspect boxes for damage or improper packaging and resolve discrepancies.
• Create and apply bar code labels and scan into the warehouse system.
• Handle all incoming inter-warehouse transfers.
• Operate basic powered equipment (pallet jack, forklift) and move products.
• Stage products and prepare boxes for put-away and racks.
• Cross-train in other departments to support operations.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain productivity and quality.
