The ideal candidate is an organized, hands-on leader who can manage a team, communicate with customers and management, and respond quickly to changing operational demands. This role is full-time and on-site.

Qualifications

Previous warehouse leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
Experience with shipping, receiving, loading, unloading, or 3PL operations preferred.
Working knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control.
Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or similar tracking software preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and record team attendance, punctuality, and staffing throughout the shift.
Conduct safety checks of the work area and address potential hazards promptly.
Review daily production goals and distribute workload appropriately among team members.
Monitor trailer progress using live operational data and ensure productivity targets are being met.
Train and mentor new warehouse associates on procedures, safety requirements, and productivity expectations.
Provide ongoing coaching to team members to improve performance.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment during the shift.
Ensure proper handoff preparation for the next shift.

Warehouse Shift Lead

Weekend Night Shift | Friday – Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Freight Breakers LLC is seeking a dependable, experienced, and motivated Warehouse Shift Lead to oversee weekend night operations at our warehouse facility. The Shift Lead will be responsible for coordinating team activities, monitoring productivity, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring daily operational goals are achieved.

The ideal candidate is an organized and hands-on leader who can effectively manage a team, communicate with customers and management, and respond quickly to changing operational demands.

Job Summary

The Warehouse Shift Lead will provide direct oversight of warehouse associates during the assigned shift. This position plays a key role in maintaining productivity, tracking trailer progress, supporting team members, and ensuring a smooth transition between shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and record team attendance, punctuality, and staffing throughout the shift.
Conduct safety checks of the work area and address potential hazards promptly.
Review daily production goals and distribute workload appropriately among team members.
Monitor trailer progress using live operational data and ensure productivity targets are being met.
Track team members' locations, assignments, and progress throughout the shift.
Communicate with customers regarding shipment activity, invoicing, and operational updates.
Train and mentor new warehouse associates on company procedures, safety requirements, and productivity expectations.
Provide ongoing coaching and support to team members to improve performance.
Monitor shipping, receiving, loading, and unloading activities to ensure accuracy and quality.
Help identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions to improve efficiency.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the shift.
Ensure the work area is properly prepared and organized for the next shift's handoff.
Communicate important operational updates, issues, and completed tasks to management.

Qualifications & Requirements

Previous warehouse leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
Experience with shipping, receiving, loading, unloading, or 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) operations preferred.
Working knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control.
Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or similar tracking software preferred.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to motivate, coach, and train team members.
Comfortable working with operational data and productivity metrics.
