Job summary

Great Lakes Cheese is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to ensure efficient and safe operation of the assigned area, managing orders, receipts, schedules, and SOP adherence. The role focuses on maintaining quality and timely deadlines while developing improved procedures.

You will lead labor distribution, coach staff, coordinate with production, and ensure DOT-compliant outbound loading; a bachelor or commensurate experience and 3+ years supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience required.
• 3+ years warehouse supervisory experience or more.
• 3+ years warehouse experience or more.
• In depth understanding of shipping and receiving processes and related equipment.
• Ability to read and prepare shipping/receiving records and comprehend production schedules/pick sheets.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead in a team based culture.

Responsibilities

• Assure labor is distributed evenly to process orders efficiently.
• Complete daily schedule of employee work zones and overtime crews.
• Ensure material received and shipped meets quality specifications.
• Provide guidance to warehouse employees to achieve daily tasks and goals.
• Maintain high level of communication with management and staff.
• Lead start-up meetings and weekly updates for timely communication.
