Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. in Reno, NV is seeking a dedicated Warehouse/Distribution professional to join as a Receiving Clerk on the 2:00 pm - 11:00 pm shift.

You will verify products, inspect shipments, label and scan items, and support cross-functional operations in a fast-paced warehouse. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and a valid driver’s license; overtime and powered equipment certifications may be required.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid state driver’s license may be required.
• Willingness to work overtime to meet customer needs.
• Internal certification to operate powered equipment within specified time.
• DOT-regulated item picking certification if required.

Responsibilities

• Verify products and match packing slips to P.O. using item and vendor numbers, descriptions, and quantity.
• Inspect boxes for damage or improper packaging and resolve discrepancies.
• Create and apply bar code labels and scan into warehouse system.
• Handle all incoming inter-warehouse transfers.
• Operate basic powered equipment (pallet jack, forklift) and move product.
• Stage product and prepare boxes for put-away and racks.
• Cross-train in other departments to support business needs.
• Follow safety guidelines and meet productivity and quality targets.
