Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. in Reno, NV is seeking a Warehouse Associate to verify shipments, inspect packaging, label products, and support inbound and outbound flow in a fast-paced warehouse.

The role involves operating basic equipment, marking items, and ensuring accurate inventory through visual and system checks. You will train across functions, uphold safety standards, and contribute to on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills are required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid state driver’s license may be required.
• Willingness to work overtime to meet customer needs.
• Internal certification to drive powered equipment.
• Internal certification to pick DOT-regulated items if required.
• Physical demands include standing, lifting up to 75 pounds, and climbing or reaching.

Responsibilities

• Verify products and match packing slips to P.O. using item and vendor numbers, descriptions, and quantity.
• Inspect boxes for damage or improper packaging and resolve discrepancies.
• Create and apply bar code labels and scan into the warehouse system.
• Handle all incoming inter-warehouse transfers.
• Operate basic powered equipment (pallet jack, forklift) and move product.
• Stage product and prepare boxes for put-away bins and racks.
• Cross-train in other departments to support business needs.
• Follow safety guidelines and meet productivity and quality targets.
