Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Essex, VT is seeking a warehouse associate to pick cases and containers for customer orders from multi-level warehouse racks. You’ll use an electric pallet jack/forklift, wrap and label pallets, and prepare shipments while adhering to safety and quality standards.

The role requires lifting 10–35 lbs regularly and up to 60–100 lbs in certain locations, standing/walking for long periods, and passing a background check.

Qualifications

• Ability to work scheduled/assigned shifts, including required overtime
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout the shift
• Ability to lift, stack, and/or pull product weighing 10–35 lbs. regularly and up approximately 60–100 lbs. (location dependent)
• Ability to work in multi-temperature environments (dry, cooler, freezer)
• Ability to pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check
• Ability to become EPJ certified within the new-hire training period
• Ability to complete required training independently

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and procedures; maintain a safe work area and report hazards immediately
• Review work schedule; obtain supplies; perform safety checks on pallet jack/forklift; wear PPE
• Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines
• Place pallets on pallet jack; operate along multi-level racks to locate products
• Manually place stock on pallets from pick slots and use pallets as directed
• Transport completed palletized customer orders to shipping dock; shrink-wrap as needed
• Replace batteries and complete vehicle inspection; secure equipment and paperwork at shift end
• Performs other related duties as assigned
