Job summary

The Dixon Group in Chestertown, MD is seeking a Material Handler to join our Distribution Center team. You will safely receive, stock, and move products, and play a key role in picking, packing, and shipping customer orders to meet delivery deadlines.

You will operate forklifts and material handling equipment, maintain inventory accuracy, and collaborate with shipping, customer service, and inventory teams. A high school diploma is required, and forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification a plus).
• Reliable, team-oriented mindset with strong time management.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Safely receive, store, and move materials throughout the distribution center.
• Pick, pack, and prepare products for shipment according to customer orders.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts through regular system updates.
• Identify and use appropriate packaging materials to protect products in transit.
• Coordinate with shipping, customer service, and inventory teams to meet delivery deadlines.
• Assist with general warehouse upkeep and organization as needed.
