Job summary

The Dixon Group in Chestertown, MD is seeking a Material Handler to move inventory through receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping. You will operate forklifts and related equipment and maintain accurate records to keep warehouse processes flowing smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous warehouse or distribution experience preferred
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification a plus)
• Reliable, team-oriented mindset with strong time management
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Safely receive, store, and move materials throughout the distribution center
• Pick, pack, and prepare products for shipment according to customer orders
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts and other warehouse equipment
• Maintain accurate inventory counts through regular system updates
• Identify and use appropriate packaging materials to protect products in transit
• Coordinate with shipping, customer service, and inventory teams to meet delivery deadlines
• Assist with general warehouse upkeep and organization as needed
