Job summary

Freight Breakers in West Jordan, UT is seeking a dedicated Shift Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations. You will manage staff, monitor attendance, and drive safety and efficiency in shipping and receiving.

You will track live trailer progress, coordinate with customers for invoicing, train new associates, and ensure clean handoffs between shifts while maintaining high quality and a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse management or supervisory role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, including 3PL operations.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory and operations.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Account for team's attendance, evaluate the work area for safety concerns and divide the day's goal amongst the team.
• Live data tracking of trailer progress, accounting for team's whereabouts/progress
• Communicating with customer for invoicing.
• Teaching and training new associates.
• Ensure work areas are clean for handoff.
