Job summary

Scholastic in Nebraska is seeking a part-time, seasonal Warehouse Forklift Operator. Schedule: 4PM–8PM on weekdays with an hourly pay rate of $19.50, plus $1.50 second-shift pay after 2 PM.

This role involves operating powered equipment to move inventory, following safety rules, and maintaining accurate records. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, forklift training/licensing, and at least 1 year of power equipment experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be trained and licensed to operate power equipment.
• Minimum 1 year power equipment operation experience for non-internal promotions.
• Requires satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.
• Ability to demonstrate basic product scanner proficiency with minimal errors.
• Strong team player with good verbal/written communication and basic math; English reading required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and related equipment to move inventory safely.
• Follow safety rules including OSHA and PPE usage.
• Maintain accurate inventory movement and cycle counts.
• Perform scanner functions and participate in physical inventory.
• Assist in loading/unloading trucks and housekeeping of area.
