Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. in Overland Park, KS is seeking an Assoc II, Warehouse Ops to support outbound and inbound activities, meet quality and safety standards, and ship products using standard procedures.

Responsibilities include following SOPs, picking orders, operating material handling equipment, cross-training, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment while adhering to EHS policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfort working with heights 20-30 feet regularly.
• Previous material handling equipment experience (PIT) preferred.
• RF scanner and/or voice to pick experience highly preferred.
• Must be able to work overtime with little to no advance notice.
• Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate into various areas of the warehouse.
• Basic proficiency in English, read/write in English required.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs to process orders including picking, quality checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building and wrapping pallets, packing and loading for shipment.
• Follow directions and adapt priorities while working independently or as a team.
• Pick large case items with material handling equipment or small unit items to designated cart.
• Cross-train in multiple areas and participate in projects as needed.
• Use Warehouse Management System (WMS) to check in/out products.
• Operate material handling equipment as required (order picker, forklift, reach truck, pallet jack, etc.).
• Complete housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Work on routine assignments requiring problem resolution.
• Attend associate meetings and communicate concerns to management.
• Adhere to site safety regulations and wear PPE as required.
