Job summary

Carson Valley Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Facilities Custodian in Gardnerville, NV. The role focuses on keeping the hospital clean, sanitary, and safe for patients, clients, and staff across daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.

The position requires comfort around animals, reliable attendance, and the ability to follow strict cleaning protocols and PPE requirements. Evening shifts are available within a full-time or part-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and manage time across a full cleaning checklist.
• Ability to read and follow product labels, Safety Data Sheets, and cleaning protocols.
• Comfort around dogs, cats, and other animals.
• Reliable transportation and a consistent attendance record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, vacuum, and mop all floors in patient areas and common spaces.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces between appointments.
• Restroom sanitation and restocking.
• Maintain lobby and entry areas, including glass and seating.
• Sanitize kennels, cat condos, and runs after discharge.
• Empty trash, recycling and laundry; manage waste per protocols.
• Clean break room and staff kitchen; handle clinic laundry as needed.
• Report maintenance issues to the manager.
