Job summary

Tufts Medicine is seeking a part-time CNA to provide professional and supportive nursing care under supervision at Lawrence Memorial Hospital - Urgent Care. Responsibilities include assisting with examinations, ADLs, hygiene, specimen collection, and vital signs, with opportunities to work with EMR and various patient care tasks.

Qualified candidates hold a CNA certification, BLS, and a HS diploma, plus 1 year of healthcare experience.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
CNA or equivalent
Coursework in EKG and Phlebotomy (only for Critical Care and ED)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
One (1) year experience in health care or nursing services

Responsibilities

Assists with examinations, procedures, tests, and treatments taught in formal training (e.g., glucometer, hoyer lift, vital signs, urinalysis, A1C).
Assists patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), prepares meals, assists with meals, responds to call lights, assists with ambulation and transfers.
Provides complete hygienic care, changes linens, bedpans, urinals, and catheters; administers cleansing enemas.
Applies skin-care principles, changes dry dressings, and supports ostomy care.
Obtains and reconciles allergy and medication lists; collects specimens and documents in EMR.
