NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens is seeking a Unit Clerk for 6 North in a part-time evening role. You will support the Med Surg/Tele unit with clerical duties, direct visitors, answer calls, and assist staff to keep patient information flowing smoothly.

Qualified candidates have a HS diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year of clerical experience, and proficiency in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint, with strong communication skills and a courteous, patient-focused attitude.

Formación

• HS Diploma or equivalency required.
• 1 year of previous clerical experience.
• Basic computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate clearly and courteously with staff, patients, and visitors.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate patient requests and perform general clerical duties at the unit nursing station.
• Welcome and direct visitors and hospital colleagues to appropriate areas.
• Page nurses and answer phones on your unit.
• Sign for important medical deliveries.
• Cultivate a courteous and respectful demeanor while multitasking between people and responsibilities.
