Job summary

Mass General Brigham’s Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to operate ultrasound equipment and produce diagnostic images for abdomen, pelvis, fetus, thyroid, breast, and vascular studies. This is a full-time 2nd shift position (evening) with 40 hours per week.

The role emphasizes patient care, accurate scans, collaboration with physicians and staff, and adherence to quality standards.

Qualifications

• Registered sonographer with OB/GYN and/or abdomen experience.
• Minimum one year clinical experience in general ultrasound imaging.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and prepare exams.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with department leadership to ensure efficient workflow.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and follow established protocols.
• Support departmental research and quality improvement initiatives.
