Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform a range of ultrasound procedures across general, transplant, abdominal and pediatric areas. The position requires specialized post-secondary training equivalent to two years of college and ARDMS registration.

Responsibilities include operating ultrasound equipment, labeling images, coordinating with physicians and students, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the exam.

Qualifications

• Specialized post-secondary training equal to two years of college.
• Registration required by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures (general, transplant, abdominal, pediatrics) per departmental protocols.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and capture images for interpretation.
• Use RIS to schedule exams and manage labels and films.
• Serve as a resource to sonographers, MDs, and students.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and proper patient care during procedures.
• Record patient data and ensure accurate records and labeling.
