Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Traffic Management Specialist to monitor and manage traffic incidents and congestion across the state. The role requires working a second shift (1:15PM - 9:45PM) and participating in a five-week training program, with initial training in Raleigh before transitioning to Charlotte.

You will use ATMS/ATIS and other tools, coordinate with emergency responders, and provide data support, reporting, and customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and basic computer skills.
• Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a professional, courteous manner under pressure.
• Must have an aptitude for geography and maps.

Responsibilities

• Gather and disseminate information in a courteous and professional manner.
• Coordinate with external agencies and first responders as needed.
• Monitor congestion and incident information using ATMS/ATIS and related tools.
• Respond to emails and support monthly reports and data collection.
