Job summary

Acquire4Hire is seeking a compassionate Toddler Teacher in Buford, GA to support toddlers aged 1 to 3 with developmentally appropriate activities. You will design tailored lesson plans, foster independence and curiosity, and partner with families to monitor progress and daily activities.

Strong understanding of child development and excellent communication are essential. CPR/First Aid is preferred or willingness to obtain; a CDA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare setting.
• CDA credential is a plus.
• Strong understanding of child development and best practices in early childhood education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, energetic, and adaptable to the needs of young children.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement interactive, age-specific lesson plans that support language, motor skills, social-emotional development, and cognitive growth.
• Establish a warm and inclusive environment that promotes safety, respect, and positive relationships among children and staff.
• Maintain a well-organized, clean, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Maintain open and effective communication with parents and families regarding children’s progress, daily activities, and any concerns.
• Closely observe and document each child’s growth, development, and behavior.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and administrators to create a cohesive and engaging learning environment.
• Supervise toddlers during play, meals, naptime, and transitions, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards at all times.
• Attend required training sessions, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
