Job summary

State of Missouri seeks a Therapeutic Services Worker for the St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center. The role supports rehabilitation services by leading activity groups, organizing events, and ensuring client engagement in therapeutic activities.

Evening shift (12:00pm–8:30pm) with weekends off, on-site at 5351 Delmar Blvd, St. Louis. Prioritizes safety, documentation, and collaboration with staff to enhance client well-being.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of recreational activities and arts and crafts.
• Ability to work with individuals with mental illness or developmental disabilities.
• Ability to communicate with clients and understand their needs.
• Ability to plan and conduct group activities safely.

Responsibilities

• Leads activity groups including recreation, physical activities and creative arts.
• Plans and organizes facility-wide events.
• Observes client behavior and reports on participation privileges.
• Escorts clients to activity areas and ensures safety.
• Maintains activity areas and completes documentation of groups led.
