Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Two years cooking experience or four years experience as waitstaff or Food Service Worker in a high-volume food service environment.
• Preferred: SERVSafe Food Prot Mgr.
• Must obtain a current Texas Food Handlers Certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present meals for retail outlets and patient room service.
• Rotate, store, and document food using FIFO and track leftovers.
• Execute high-volume batch cooking and mise-en-place.
• Adjust preparation techniques for therapeutic diets and modified textures.
• Ensure food quality, taste, presentation, portions, and temperatures.
• Cross-cover across retail stations, catering, and room service.
• Assist with inventory, order requisitions, and waste tracking.
