Job summary

Lowell General Hospital, part of the Tufts Medicine system, is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the night shift in the operating room. The role supports surgeons, maintains sterile technique, and assists in instrument handling and room turnover to ensure smooth perioperative care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completed surgical technology training program or equivalent credential.
• New graduates must obtain credential within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon during procedures by organizing instrumentation.
• Maintain aseptic technique and OR setup throughout cases.
• Scrub on cases and participate in counts with circulating nurse.
• Prepare and manage instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgeries.
• Assist with room turnover and equipment troubleshooting.
