Sharp HealthCare in San Diego is seeking a surgical technologist to provide patient care duties in the operating room and support unit activities. The role requires recent OR experience or graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program, with BLS certification and CST preferred.

The position operates on a 12/36 shift and is covered by a SEIU-UHW collective bargaining agreement. Weekend work as needed and on-call not required.

Formación

• Experience as OR or surgical technician in hospital/ambulatory setting within last 12 months or graduate from accredited surgical technologist program.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification is required.
• Preferred: H.S. diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: CST certification NBSTSA.

Responsabilidades

• Provides patient care duties and unit support in the operating room suite.
• Updates surgeon preference card per entity processes and reports to relieving scrub personnel.
• Maintains sterilization, instrument handling, and room setup according to policy.
• Assists with instrument trays and case preparation, and supports in teaching new staff.
