Job summary

PsyPhyCare is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to provide on-site prevention and counseling within a federally supported residential youth program in Puxico, MO. The role serves young adults 16–24, with a mission to prepare them for employment and independence.

This is a contract position with part-time availability up to 20 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM–8:00 PM, on-site in Puxico. No telehealth or remote option; scheduling is flexible to support program needs.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Substance Abuse Counseling certification in Missouri (CADC or related).
• Experience with adolescents or young adults in behavioral health.
• Education background with a college degree in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site individual and group substance abuse counseling services.
• Develop and facilitate prevention and education programs.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and case management plans.
• Collaborate with residential staff and program leadership.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to students as needed.
