Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician at High Point Medical Center to support decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging and sterilization of surgical instruments. You will handle case carts and deliver supplies to the OR, while maintaining documentation and following safety protocols.

This full-time position runs 3p-11p, 40 hours per week, with benefits eligible. Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED and be proficient with MS Office and instrument-tracking

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Experience with sterile processing and case carts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate steam sterilizers and low temp sterilizers and report issues.
• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and package instruments.
• Verify sterilization cycles and maintain documentation.
• Assemble case carts and deliver to OR.
• Support weekday surge plan and weekend call responsibilities.
• Follow safety policies to prevent bloodborne and other contaminates.
