Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Knowledge of medical terminology essential.
• Certification recommended within two years of employment; de-escalation training required by orientation end (90 days).

Responsibilities

• Provide sterile instruments and decontaminated equipment for patients of all ages.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, package and sterilize surgical instruments; test and monitor sterilization equipment.
• Document and maintain sterilization records; order patient equipment and supplies; post and credit charges as needed.
