Job summary

Banner North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO seeks a Sterile Processing Technician for the Evening shift. You will ensure clean, functional instruments and supplies are ready for procedures, supporting PeriOp Services and hospital departments.

Responsibilities include decontamination, assembly, packaging, and accurate documentation; maintaining logs, and ensuring instrument readiness to support surgical teams. Requires attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Mechanical aptitude to break down, clean, lubricate and reassemble instruments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, assemble and package surgical instruments following established protocols and IFUs; perform quality assurance and documentation.
• Maintain sterilization logs and quality assurance records for decontamination, disinfection and sterilization processes.
• Interpret the surgical schedule and communicate priorities to minimize delays in surgery and care.
• Track surgical instruments leaving the area and report replacements to maintain inventory and OR readiness.
• Operate sterilizers, instrument washers, and related equipment per manufacturer instructions and hospital policy.
