Job summary

Vail Health in Edwards, CO is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech for the evening shift. The role is full-time (4pm-11pm) and focuses on cleaning, inspecting, and sterilizing instruments to ensure patient safety and efficient turnover of instrument sets.

Responsibilities include documenting processes, maintaining equipment, and supporting a Just Culture and organizational values. HIPAA compliance and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements and benefits enrollment.
• Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, inspections, and sterilization techniques according to established standards of practice for SP(C).
• Maintain instrument sets to ensure cleanliness, completeness, proper function, and sterility.
• Maintain knowledge of instrument sets, configurations, and supplies.
• Document sterilization processes in log books.
• Use supplies and liners efficiently to support quality care and cost effectiveness.
• Act as a preceptor to new employees and seek education opportunities.
