Job summary

Banner North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO seeks a Sterile Processing Technician for full-time evenings (2:00 PM–10:30 PM) with weekend on-call rotation. You will ensure sterile instrumentation is ready for procedures, manage cleaning, decontamination, and packaging, and maintain compliance with infection-control standards in PeriOp Services and hospital departments.

The role supports OR readiness, tracks instruments, and operates sterilizers, washers, and related equipment,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to break down, clean, lubricate and reassemble instruments.
• Strong organizational, communication and human relations abilities required.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, assemble and package surgical instruments per IFU and protocols.
• Maintain sterilization logs and quality assurance records.
• Interpret surgical schedules and prioritize instrumentation requests for timely readiness.
• Track instrument ownership (hospital, surgeon, loaner) and report replacements.
• Operate sterilizers, washers, and high-level disinfection equipment per policy.
• Ensure a clean, safe environment following PPE and infection-control practices.
