Job summary

Sharp HealthCare in San Diego is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure proper maintenance and distribution of disposable supplies and durable medical equipment for patient care. The position requires recent SPD experience or completion of an accredited Sterile Processing Technician program.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience as a sterile processing technician within the last 12 months; or graduate of an accredited Sterile Processing Technician program within the last 12 months.
• CSPDT certification preferred by the employer.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper distribution of disposable supplies and durable medical equipment for patient care.
• Document and label instrument trays and load contents; ensure accurate labeling and tracking.
• Monitor sterilization processes and equipment, report malfunctions to Lead Technician or Supervisor.
• Communicate shift information clearly via reports and logs; support infection prevention standards.
