Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, assemble, inspect, package, sterilize and distribute reusable supplies (instruments, equipment, linen, surgical supplies).
• Clean and disinfect Operating Room or procedural areas between patients throughout the day.
• Reprocess instruments in the Operating Room environment using immediate use steam sterilization or per-acetic acid and maintain Central Processing Department standards.
• Serve as a resource for the Operating Room staff and all other hospital departments.
