Job summary

Trinity Health is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician at Nampa Medical Center, off I-84 and Garrity Road, to join our Sterile Processing Department.

You will decontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, sterilize and store reusable surgical instruments, and operate cart washers and sterilizers, preparing case carts for procedures.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma; CRCST or CSPDT is preferred, with prior hospital experience a plus, and is scheduled for an evening shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred.
• Prior hospital experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, and package surgical instruments, specialty sets and other reusable instruments following all surgical procedures and regulations.
• Operate sterilization equipment including cart washers, washer-disinfectors, steam sterilizers, heat sealers, and Sterris machines.
• Prepare surgical case carts and respond to requests for instrumentation and/or supplies for procedures.
• Order and restock the surgery department with supplies and instruments.
