Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is seeking a Sterile Processing Instrument Technician II for an on-site shift from 2:00pm to 10:30pm. The role requires a high school diploma and at least 6 months of sterile processing experience, with CRCST/CSPDT preferred.

Responsibilities include decontamination, processing, sterilization, and meticulous documentation. PPE use is required and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months experience in Sterile Processing or 400 hours of hands-on experience.
• CRCST Certification through HSPA or CSPDT through CBSPD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow decontamination, processing and sterilization processes to ensure bioburden-free instruments.
• Maintain required documentation on logs and computer systems.
• Prioritize instrumentation for processing and dispatch equipment and supplies; answer telephones.
• Follow directions and operate equipment; comply with PPE and safety requirements.
