Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring Stand-Up Forklift Operators for its Columbia, South Carolina facilities. The role focuses on safe, efficient warehouse operations using stand-up and high-reach forklifts with a second shift from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Work within contract performance measurement guidelines.
• Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induction, and load/unload trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide maintenance support for the automated packing system during core shift hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
