Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Columbia, SC is hiring Stand-Up Forklift Operators for the 2nd shift (6:00 pm – 6:00 am). The role includes forklift operation, picking, packing, and shipping with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Training is provided, and opportunities exist for advancement within a safety-focused environment. Qualified candidates will have a forklift license and at least 1 year of warehouse experience, plus strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid forklift operator license certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to be a team player in a diverse work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse function, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Responsible for accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift hours.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
